SMALL SCHOOL, BIG RESULTS!
Renaissance School maintains 100% college acceptance and most students are accepted to their first choice institution. Scholarship achievement is exceptional, with students averaging $110,000 in offers per applying student for the Classes of 2007, 2008, and 2009. The Renaissance Class of 2010 has continued the tradition with ten seniors earning a grand total of $ 1,088,432.00 in scholarship and grant offers (as of May 2010).
So what accounts for such success? Many factors contribute but all relate to the personal attention students receive. Throughout their years at Renaissance, a senior has:
- engaged in rigorous study in an integrated curriculum that required their best efforts as critical thinkers, creative artists, and responsible social beings
- refined their skills in analysis and rhetoric via the Independent Study Program, including lengthy research, project management, and presentations to the entire School community
- participated in a two-year college counseling course, including a program of research, reflection, and evaluation to match talents and interests with college offerings
- developed personal and enriching relationships with faculty who know their strengths and articulate them well in college recommendations
More important than the numbers, our graduates inspire more by their character and commitment than by their awards and achievements. Through the work and contributions of alumni, the world continues to discover that Renaissance students are curious, involved, compassionate, and unique among their peers.
