TAKING THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED…
Students are the heart of Renaissance School. They feel part of a collaborative community of learners, welcomed as individuals, and inspired to take on the responsibility of inquiry.
It is no accident that most of the pages on this site are jammed with pictures of students, and many of those shots were taken by student photographers. A “Students” menu occupies a “top shelf” spot on the menu bar and includes an online gallery of student work along with information about independent studies and leadership. Renaissance faculty and staff consider themselves fortunate that so many incredible young people have discovered “the road less traveled.”
Here’s how one student described her Renaissance experience:
Renaissance School is where eager young people can come to learn about themselves: what are they interested in, what do they want to do, etc.. Encouraged by the faculty, the administration, and even the other students, each individual is free to explore the world through different lenses, as an historian, a scientist, an artist, a mathematician, a writer without boundaries.
